During the work on the composition, Juan-Carlos Quindos sent me this photo and it shook me. As the piece developed, a strong connection between my work and his image emerged – in structure, texture and in content.
Music for a secret installation II is made up of doublebass samples. Electronic processing is limited to programmed delays, discreet pitch shifting and equalisation. Debut performance with a small cassette player and laptop took place in March 2008 during the Invisible Art Tour with Patrick Franke, Daniel Schiller and Rob Curgenven.
